Devon Rutledge is an entrepreneur, community leader, and lifelong Kansan running to represent the 30th District in the Kansas Senate.
Born and raised in Wichita, Devon is a product of Wichita Collegiate School. He went on to attend McPherson College as a Presidential Scholar, and also competed athletically for the Bulldogs.
After graduation, Devon returned to Wichita where he opened his own Allstate Insurance agency, which he continues to operate. He also co-owns Beer Brothers Wine and Spirits with his brother, Joshua. Devon serves on the board of Wichita Rotary Club and Global Faith in Action, and has volunteered time on committees for Exploration Place and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In his spare time, Devon enjoys restoring vintage cars.
Devon is married to his high school sweetheart, Liz. They live in east Wichita with their dogs Pyp and Biggles.
The 30th Senate District is home to more than 70,000 Kansans living in east Wichita and Eastborough.
In 2018, the voters of the 30th District stood with Governor Laura Kelly over Kris Kobach 54%-40%. As Senate President, however, our extremist State Senator has been singlehandedly responsible for blocking much of Governor Kelly's common-sense agenda. That's why Devon Rutledge is running to serve as a fresh, moderate voice of reason for east Wichita in the Kansas Legislature.
